Vapour phase liquid nitrogen tanks, i.e. larger models for cryogenic storage of samples, with a volume of more than 350 litres, the same double-bile vacuum construction as the YDS series, made of different 304 stainless steel, and with an intelligent management system that controls the automatic replenishment of the liquid.
Automatic replenishment requires a refill tank connected to a vapour phase cryogenic tank
But is this liquid nitrogen resupply tank a must have?
Of course! Combined with the capacity of the vapour phase liquid nitrogen tanks and the preciousness of the stored samples, liquid nitrogen resupply tanks are a must!
First of all, the capacity of the vapour phase liquid nitrogen tanks, 350-1800 litres, is several times higher than that of the YDS series liquid nitrogen tanks, storing hundreds of thousands or tens of thousands of samples, which can be used for the establishment of biological sample banks. The amount of liquid nitrogen required to supply such a large number of samples, even in vapour phase mode, is not to be underestimated.
However, it is a challenge to refill because the tanks are too large and it is not reasonable to move to a gas company to fill them, and they are mostly placed in laboratories where a high level of secrecy is required, making it more difficult to refill them than the average liquid nitrogen tank.
Equipped with a liquid nitrogen refill tank with castors connected to the vapour phase tank, the system controls the automatic refill and at the same time, when the refill tank runs out of liquid nitrogen, it can also be easily transferred out for refill and continue to be connected to the vapour phase tank to ensure the supply of liquid nitrogen.
In terms of samples, a vapour phase tank is far more expensive than a YDS tank, and bulk storage of non-precious samples would not be such a big deal. If the internal liquid nitrogen is lost due to the absence of a rehydration tank, but the sample is not replenished in time to die, the loss is inevitably not worth the gain.Equipped with a rehydration tank and controlled by an automatic rehydration system, this problem can be avoided.
Combining the two aspects, a vapour phase liquid nitrogen tank is a must with a liquid nitrogen refill tank!
