The process of using liquid nitrogen tank

A complete process of using liquid nitrogen tanks should include pre-use inspection, filling with liquid nitrogen and post-use cleaning, pre-use inspection determines the quality of use, filling and user cleaning affect the life of the tank, how do they specifically do?

The process of using liquid nitrogen tank:

1.Check before use

Mainly check the outer surface of the liquid nitrogen tank to see if there are dents? Is the vacuum exhaust port intact?

Liquid nitrogen tank is an atmospheric pressure tank, the tank is complete product pressure inside and outside only uniform, if the surface is depressed, this pressure balance is broken, it is possible to affect the vacuum, or even let the tank directly not insulated.

The vacuum vent is well understood, it is used to ensure that the tank vacuum, not intact means that the vacuum does not work.

In addition, you should also look at the inner liner of the jar, check whether there are foreign objects fall into, if there is removed to avoid corrosion of the liner.

2.Filling with time

New liquid nitrogen canisters to the hands of the filling liquid nitrogen must pay attention to, can not be filled to full at once, to pre-cooling and then filled.

The reason is that the temperature of the new liquid nitrogen tank is room temperature, while liquid nitrogen is deep low temperature, a sudden exposure to such a low temperature, easy to damage the inner liner, to give the tank a little time to adapt. Pre-cooling is this time, first fill a little liquid nitrogen will be filled with the temperature of the tank down and then filled.

Also do not pour liquid nitrogen on the vacuum exhaust port to avoid damage to the vacuum exhaust port.

3.Cleaning after use

In order to ensure the purity of the liquid nitrogen, the integrity of the tank, and the safety of the samples, it is necessary to clean the tank regularly.

When cleaning, first take out the lifting cylinder in the tank; leave it for 2~3 days and let the temperature of the storage tank return to 0℃.

After that, scrub with warm water around 30℃, then rinse with water several times, invert the liquid nitrogen tank after washing, and dry naturally or blow dry.
