Where does the pressurized liquid nitrogen supply tank release pressure?

Different industries use liquid nitrogen containers slightly differently;

Like animal husbandry, almost all are aluminum liquid nitrogen tanks with normal pressure, and occasionally there are liquid nitrogen pumps as accessories for rehydration;

For scientific research experiments, in addition to using large-diameter liquid nitrogen tanks equipped with freezing racks, there are also pressurized liquid nitrogen supply tanks for rehydration!

A pressurized liquid nitrogen supply tank, that is, a self-pressurized liquid nitrogen tank, has its own pressurization system and liquid storage space. It achieves pressurization by vaporizing the internal liquid nitrogen, and then transports the liquid nitrogen out. Its 0.1 MPa is safe and low-pressure and is very suitable for scientific research environments because it does not need to undergo third-party testing every year and is more convenient to use.

But although it is low pressure, it still needs to work under pressure. For safety reasons, the manufacturer installed a pressure relief device for it!

So where does the pressurized liquid nitrogen supply tank release pressure?

There are two!

For daily pressure relief, go through the vent valve; for abnormal pressure relief, go through the double safety valve!

The vent valve, the gray valve on the top of the pressurized liquid nitrogen supply tank, plays the role of pressure relief and venting, completely opposite to the boost valve. Before pressurization is required, the vent valve needs to be closed, otherwise the pressurization cannot be completed; after the liquid nitrogen delivery is completed, open the vent valve, which will release the residual liquid nitrogen and remaining pressure gas in the container to ensure that there is no pressure inside the container.

The double safety valve is designed to deal with abnormal pressurization. When the internal pressure of the pressurized liquid nitrogen supply tank exceeds 0.09MPa, it will automatically open to release excess pressure. Therefore, it will not open under normal circumstances. It will only open automatically when the vent valve is not opened in time after the liquid nitrogen filling is completed, causing the pressure to rise and exceed the standard value.

Now, everyone knows through which part of the pressurized liquid nitrogen supply tank the pressure is released! One is performed manually for daily use; the other is automatically activated in response to exceptions. Do you understand?
